Bio
Mike Rother is a Shingo Award-winning engineer, researcher, and author best known for his groundbreaking work in scientific thinking and continuous improvement, including the influential books Toyota Kata, The Toyota Kata Practice Guide, Toyota Kata Culture, and Learning to See. Rother has spent decades teaching and researching how organizations can build daily habits of adaptiveness, problem-solving, and innovation. A member of the AME Hall of Fame, he has collaborated with institutions such as the University of Michigan College of Engineering, Fraunhofer Institute, and Technical University Dortmund, and continues to lead the global movement toward embedding scientific thinking in everyday work.
